Ethical Behavior
The first criterion, ethical behavior, received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with 88% of respondents rating it as “very good” and the remaining 12% as “good.” No respondents rated it as “sufficient” or “poor,” indicating a strong alignment with professional ethical standards. This high level of satisfaction suggests that the graduates are well-prepared in terms of ethical conduct in their professional environments. To further enhance this area, the program plans to strengthen character education by integrating it more thoroughly into various courses. This will help ensure that ethical behavior remains a cornerstone of the graduates’ professional lives.
- Performance Related to Core Competencies
The second criterion evaluates the graduates’ performance related to core competencies. Here, 84% of respondents rated it as “very good,” while 16% rated it as “good,” with no ratings falling into the “sufficient” or “poor” categories. This positive feedback underscores the effectiveness of the program in preparing graduates with the necessary pedagogical and professional skills. However, to continuously improve in this area, the study program plans to develop pedagogical and professional competencies further through enhanced coursework. This initiative aims to keep graduates’ core competencies aligned with the evolving demands of the education sector.
- Ability to Work in Teams
The ability to work in teams is another area where graduates excel, with 88% of respondents rating it as “very good” and 12% as “good.” This indicates that the program successfully prepares graduates to collaborate effectively in team settings, which is crucial in educational environments. To sustain and enhance this competency, the program intends to continue utilizing group-based assignments and team-based projects within the coursework. These methods are designed to further strengthen students’ teamwork skills, ensuring they can effectively contribute to and lead collaborative efforts in their future careers.
- Communication Skills
Communication skills, a critical component of professional success, were rated as “very good” by 82% of respondents and “good” by 18%. The absence of lower ratings highlights that graduates are well-equipped with the ability to communicate effectively. However, the program recognizes the importance of continuous improvement in this area and plans to intensify the use of discussion, presentation, and group assignment methods. These approaches will provide students with more opportunities to practice and enhance their communication abilities, particularly in speaking and interpersonal interactions.
- English Language Proficiency
The survey results for English language proficiency present a more varied picture. While 62% of respondents rated this ability as “very good,” a significant 38% rated it as “good.” Although these results are positive, they suggest room for improvement compared to other criteria. To address this, the program plans to increase the provision of foreign-language learning resources. By doing so, it aims to enhance students’ English language skills, making them more competitive in both national and international educational settings.
- Information Technology Skills
The graduates’ ability to use information technology was rated as “very good” by 82% of respondents and “good” by 18%. This indicates that the program effectively prepares graduates to utilize IT tools, which are increasingly important in modern educational practices. To further strengthen this competency, the program plans to integrate IT more deeply into the curriculum and assignments. This includes tasks such as creating educational videos, designing infographic posters, and using platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Classroom, all of which will help students become more proficient in applying technology in their teaching practices.
- Self-Development Efforts
Lastly, the survey assessed the graduates’ efforts in self-development, with 85% of respondents rating it as “very good” and 15% as “good.” This criterion reflects the graduates’ ability to take initiative in their personal and professional growth. To support and enhance this ability, the program encourages students to actively explore themselves through coursework. This includes practicing leadership skills, boosting self-confidence, and improving public speaking abilities through activities such as asking questions, debating, and providing feedback during classes.
Overall, the survey results reflect a high level of satisfaction among users regarding the competencies of graduates from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program. The planned follow-up actions demonstrate the program’s commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that its graduates remain well-prepared to meet the challenges of the evolving educational landscape.
