Abstract: Education for blind children begins at the age of childhood and elementary school. At that age, blind children will begin to be introduced to fruits. However, in general, teachers in special schools will introduce fruits to blind children using only real fruit. This is considered ineffective, because the fruit recognition learning process only relied on the ability of the teacher that causes blind students to get bored quickly and the material presented by the teachers is not well received. Therefore we need a 3D fruit learning media designed according to the characteristics of blind children. The purpose of making Fruit Audio Aroma media is as a solution to overcome problems in the learning process of the blind children with disabilities related to fruit material. The method used is the observation method. The result of this study indicated that the Fruit Audio Aroma media provides maximum usability with easy and practical use, according to the needs of the blind through aroma, braille, texture, QR code and audio features that can be operated smoothly. Thus, this media is effective for increasing the sensitivity of the sense of touch, hearing and smell in blind children.

Abstract: People must always maintain their immunity during a pandemic. One of the efforts to maintain immunity is by consuming green vegetables that are rich in fiber and nutrients. For this reason, the PKM team created a product innovation called “Mie Queen”. The noodle snack initiated by the PKM team of Elementary School Teacher Education, Sebelas Maret University can be enjoyed practically, made from kale vegetables with packaging accompanied by educational stories for children. The potential business plan for Snack Mie Queen is to register trademark patents and also conduct lab tests to obtain BPOM certificates from related agencies. The implementation method is divided into preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The advantages of Mie Queen compared to competitors include: the manufacturing process is baked, there is an educational story on the packaging, and there is a kale content of 50-60% per serving. The implementation of the program that has been carried out includes making 200 packages of products and making a video that contains an overview of product design and marketing (packaging design, logo, and educational story design). The marketing strategy includes online and offline marketing.

Abstract: Coronavirus pandemic affected the education field, especially in the implementation of the learning process which has turned into an online-based learning. This study aimed to analyze the needs of the digital-based connecting book as a media of communication between teachers at school and students’ guardians or parents in order to monitor students’ affective aspect at home during the pandemic era. The needs of the digital-based connecting book were analyzed through descriptive qualitative research methods and interactive data analysis techniques. The result of this study indicated that there was no implementation of digital connecting book as a media of communication between teachers and student guardians at primary school in Surakarta in the pandemic era. The communication between them were mostly done through the use of WhatsApp. However, we found out that teachers could not effectively monitor student affective aspect at home because of the lack of a structured communication system. Based on the findings, it can be summarized that the digital connecting book is needed to monitor students in the pandemic era by teachers from student guardians or parents. Additionally, the result of the analysis provided a reference for the framework of a structured communication system between teachers and student guardians in the pandemic era regarding students’ affective aspect.
